In the last week, the Eureka Police Department has investigated two separate incidents involving a male subject driving up to juveniles, exposing himself, and making inappropriate comments.

The first incident occurred on Friday, May 17th and the second occurred on Sunday, May 19th. Both happened around 5:00 p.m. and were in the areas of Zane Middle School and Eureka High School.

The suspect vehicle was described as a “banged up” gray, brown, or gold sedan. The suspect was described as a white male adult, late 20’s to 40’s, with short brown hair, and a brown beard.

In addition to our extra patrol efforts of these areas, the Eureka Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the suspect. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Eureka Police Department at (707) 441-4060 (option/ext. 3).

Safety Tips:

Walk in groups and be aware of your surroundings. If approached by a suspicious vehicle, do not engage. If you can safely do it, take a picture of the vehicle, license plate, and any occupants. The license plate number and color of the vehicle is the most helpful information for law enforcement.

UPDATE:

On May 14th, 17th, and 19th, the Eureka Police Department responded to reports of indecent exposure being committed by a male suspect in the vicinity of Eureka High School. During these incidents a male suspect approached juvenile females while in a vehicle. The suspect exposed his genitals and made sexually explicit comments to the victims. Through the investigation, Detectives identified the suspect as Aaron Albert Parker, 21 of Mansfield, Georgia. Parker has been residing in California for approximately 6 months.

As a result of the investigation a Ramey Warrant was issued today for Parker’s arrest. A short time later an EPD officer located Parker in his vehicle parked in the 1200 block of W. Del Norte Street in Eureka. Parker was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional facility on charges of; Contacting a minor under the age of 18 with the intent to commit a lewd act, Annoying or molesting a child, and Indecent Exposure. Parker is being held on $100,000 bail.

Anyone who may have additional information regarding these offenses or others not reported is urged to contact Detective Corrie Watson at 707-441-4032.
