What is your vision for reducing Eureka's greenhouse gas emissions? The City of Eureka, in partnership with the County of Humboldt, is hosting a Climate Action Plan Public Workshop to hear your ideas on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wharfinger Building, 1 Marina Way.
The City of Eureka is working together with other local governments in Humboldt County to develop a Regional Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the county. As part of this effort, the City of Eureka is developing solutions to address the city’s carbon footprint.
The workshop will start with a presentation highlighting current emissions levels. Following the presentation, you will have an opportunity to circulate between several stations to learn about Climate Action Plan strategies and provide your input. If you have ideas on how we can work together to address local climate impacts, then we want to hear from you!
The Climate Action Plan Workshop will take place on Wednesday, January 15 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wharfinger Building, located at 1 Marina Way in Eureka. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the presentation begins at 5:30.
